Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to ride enquiries, quotes and transport services arranged with Sólin Taxi.
Last updated: 4 August 2026
1. Booking requests
Sending a website form, email, WhatsApp message or social media message is a request only. It does not by itself create a confirmed booking.
A ride is confirmed only when Sólin Taxi expressly confirms the availability, pickup details and applicable pricing.
2. Customer information
Customers must provide accurate contact, flight, pickup, destination, passenger and luggage information.
Sólin Taxi is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by materially incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
3. Pricing
A ride may be charged using an agreed quote or according to the taxi meter. The applicable pricing method will be explained before the ride.
A quote normally applies only to the route, date, passenger count, luggage and service details agreed when the booking is confirmed.
Additional stops, waiting time, route changes, oversized luggage, special equipment, parking, tolls or other unagreed services may result in an additional charge.
Unless otherwise stated, prices are charged in Icelandic krónur.
4. Airport pickups and flight delays
Customers should provide the correct flight number. Sólin Taxi may monitor publicly available flight information and adjust the planned pickup when reasonably possible.
Flight monitoring does not guarantee that every delay, cancellation, terminal change or airline update will be detected immediately.
The exact meeting point and waiting arrangements will be confirmed before pickup.
5. Waiting time and no-shows
Customers should be ready at the agreed pickup time and location.
Additional waiting charges may apply where the customer is not ready after the agreed pickup or included waiting period.
If the driver cannot contact or locate the customer after reasonable attempts, the booking may be treated as a no-show.
6. Cancellations
Customers should cancel as early as possible by telephone, WhatsApp or email.
Any cancellation charge must be disclosed when the booking is confirmed. If no cancellation charge was agreed, Sólin Taxi will not invent one after cancellation.
Different terms may be agreed for long-distance tours, multi-stop services, advance reservations or services requiring special preparation.
7. Passengers, luggage and child seats
The customer must provide accurate passenger and luggage counts so that a suitable vehicle can be arranged.
Child seats, oversized luggage, wheelchairs, sports equipment and other special requirements must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
The driver may decline to carry passengers or items where doing so would be unsafe, unlawful or beyond the vehicle’s permitted capacity.
8. Conduct and safety
Passengers must follow reasonable safety instructions and must not endanger the driver, vehicle, other passengers or road users.
Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. Sólin Taxi may refuse or end a ride where passenger behaviour is violent, threatening, unlawful or seriously disruptive.
9. Delays and events outside reasonable control
Travel times are estimates. Traffic, road closures, weather, accidents, flight disruption and other events may affect pickup or arrival times.
Sólin Taxi will take reasonable steps to provide the confirmed service but cannot guarantee exact journey times where delays arise outside reasonable control.
10. Payment
Accepted payment methods and the time of payment will be confirmed with the booking or quote.
Customers are responsible for paying the confirmed or metered fare and any additional charges agreed or properly incurred during the service.
11. Complaints and contact
Questions or complaints should be sent promptly so that Sólin Taxi has a reasonable opportunity to investigate.

Sólin Taxi may update these terms when services, operational practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
